This policy explains what information The AI Guy from Long Island collects through theaiguyfromli.com, why it is collected, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. It describes what this site actually does. If something here does not match what you experience, tell us and we will correct it.

We are the party responsible for the information described below. For questions about this policy or any request covered by it, email the address above.
Information you give us
We only collect what you type into a form on this site. Depending on which form you use, that can include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your business name and website address
- The towns or service areas you asked about, and your industry
- Anything else you choose to write in a message field
We do not ask for, and you should not send us, government identification numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or other sensitive personal information.
Information about the website you submit to the audit tool
Our Free Website Audit takes a website address you enter and retrieves that page's publicly available HTML in order to analyse it. It also requests a screenshot and public performance data for that address from third-party services. It reads only what is publicly published at that address. It does not sign in anywhere, and it cannot see anything behind a login. If you run the audit and then submit your details to receive the report, we store the address you audited and the resulting score alongside your contact details.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, referring site, browser type, device type, and the time of your visit. This is collected through the analytics and advertising services listed below, using cookies and similar technologies.
Services we use
These third parties process information on our behalf or receive it as part of how the site works. Each one operates under its own privacy policy.
| Service | What it does here | What it may receive |
|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Measures site traffic and which pages get read | Usage data, device and browser information, approximate location, cookie identifiers |
| Meta (Facebook) Pixel | Present in the page code for advertising measurement | Page view events and cookie identifiers |
| HubSpot | Stores contact details submitted through our forms | Name, email, phone, business details you submit |
| Netlify | Hosts the site and receives form submissions | Form contents, server request logs including IP address |
| Cal.com | Books the free 15-minute diagnostic | Name, email and any details you enter when booking |
| Stripe | Processes payments | Payment and billing details, handled entirely by Stripe |
| Google Fonts | Serves the typefaces used on this site | Your IP address, as part of the font request |
| Microlink and Google PageSpeed Insights | Produce the screenshot and performance data in the website audit | The website address you entered |
We never see your full card number. Payments are handled on Stripe's own pages.
How we use your information
- To reply to you and answer what you asked
- To prepare and send the audit or assessment you requested
- To deliver work you have engaged us for
- To send occasional email about our services, where you have given us your address. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and using it stops those emails
- To understand which pages are useful and improve the site
- To meet legal and accounting obligations
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not share your contact details with other companies for their own marketing. We do not publish your business name, your website's audit results, or anything else you submit as a case study, testimonial, or example without asking you first and getting your agreement.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. This site uses them for analytics and advertising measurement through the services named above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics specifically using Google's browser add-on.
How long we keep things
Contact details submitted through a form stay in our CRM until you ask us to remove them, or until they are clearly no longer relevant. Records tied to paid work are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Analytics data follows the retention period set by the analytics provider.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your information
- Stop sending you marketing email
Email matt@theaiguyfromli.com and we will action it. We do not charge for this and we will not make it difficult. Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation may give you additional rights. We will honour a request under those laws whether or not it applies to us strictly.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS. The services above hold the information described and maintain their own security programmes. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, and we will not claim otherwise. Please do not send sensitive information by email.
Children
This site is for businesses. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
